Catholic University of Sacred Heart was founded in 1921. It is an Italian private research university and largest private university in Europe. The university offers undergraduate programs in various study area. The university has many campuses which offer these programs. The Institute of Agricultural Chemistry and Environment was founded in 1953, the foundation of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Food and Environmental (formerly Faculty of Agriculture) of the Catholic University. The Institute dedicated to the research chemistry applied to agriculture, particularly fertilizers and pesticides, the integrated study of all chemicals used in agriculture and the protection of the soil-water- plant-air by processes of accumulation, mobilization and absorption of xenobiotics organic and inorganic. The primary purpose of the Institute is the scientific research and the publication of works in specialized journals.
