Chang Gung University was established in 1987 as the Chang Gung Medical College. It is a private university in Guishan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in various study area. Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering was established in 1988. The department offers Undergraduate, Master, Doctoral and PhD programs. The department has focused on cultivating outstanding engineers needed to cope with the country's economic construction and industrial development of chemical processes, materials engineering, environmental protection and biotechnology and other senior technology professionals. The Division of Natural Science offers an undergraduate fundamental science courses and related fields, in subjects such as general chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, general physics, general biology, mathematics, and computer science. Lab courses are performed in spacious and well-equipped teaching labs, which are managed and maintained by our technical staff. The aim in teaching is to build strong foundations of natural science knowledge and experimentation, and serve as key entry points for students to understand of a broad range of specialized topics. The research fields are grouped into two broad areas of science: theoretical and experimental sciences.
