Chung-Ang University was founded in 1918. It is an institution of higher education. It has 2 campuses. The College of Natural Sciences was established in 1954. The main purpose is to advance education and research of basic sciences including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Faculty are making every effort to cultivate talented people with global appeals, incubate world-class research groups, and create an environment optimal for education and research.The chemical engineering department was established in 1963. The chemical engineering students take part in developing new material. They also thoroughly study the theories related to the process of its development so that they can afford to become professional leaders.
