Clark University was founded in 1887. It is an American private liberal arts university is located in the heart of New England Worcester, Massachusetts. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs. The Gustaf H. Carlson School of Chemistry offers a major, minor and elective courses for undergraduates, an accelerated B.A./M.S. for qualified Clark undergraduates, and a Ph.D. program. Clark is a small research university that combines active Ph.D. programs with a liberal arts education for undergraduates. This combination of small size and active research provides an ideal environment for undergraduates to participate in original experimental research. The chemistry department has a variety of research programs, many of which are currently funded by grants.
