Colorado State University-Pueblo was established in the year 1933. It is a regional comprehensive public institution of higher learning located in Colorado Springs, USA. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The Department of Chemistry offers a B.S in chemistry and a minor in Chemistry and in Forensic Science. The department prepares graduates to be responsible, scientifically literate professionals by providing the highest quality undergraduate and master’s level chemical education via an innovative modern curriculum as well as faculty-mentored research and internship opportunities. The major in chemistry leads to a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. The chemistry curriculum is certified by the American Chemical Society. Students have many opportunities to participate in active research programs carried on by the faculty within the department. Laboratory bench experience includes ready access to computers for simulation and recording purposes. The department features state-of-the-industry laboratory equipment with computer interface. There are five laboratory areas, each dedicated to general chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry or physical chemistry.
