COMSATS Institute of Information Technology started its journey in 1998 and established its first campus at Islamabad in April 1998.. It is a public research university located in Islamabad Pakistan. The institute offers undergraduate and graduate courses. CIIT is a world-class institution of higher learning with multi-campuses across the country. It aims to benefit youth of various regions and to give a chance to the students to opt for location of their preference. The Chemistry Department established in 2008 is well-known for its teaching excellence and quality research facilities. The department comprises of highly qualified and talented faculty of national and international repute. The department is equipped with state-of-the art teaching and research laboratories facilitated with updated library. Currently, the Department offers MS and PhD degree programs in various research areas. The Department of Chemical Engineering at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Lahore launched its academic programs in Fall-2005 with a vision to produce outstanding chemical engineers equipped with extensive up-to-date technical knowledge and skillful hand-on-training to meet the changing demands of the society. The Department of Chemical Engineering has highly qualified faculty to deliver quality teaching and research in accordance with the world class industrial needs. The degree programs of the department are duly accredited with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The department offers BS, MS and PhD courses in chemical engineering.
