East Carolina University was founded in 1907. It is a public, coeducational, doctoral/research university in Greenville, North Carolina, United States. East Carolina University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. East Carolina offers a broad range of traditional and interdisciplinary majors in the undergraduate and graduate sections. The Department of Chemistry offers the BS and BA degrees at the undergraduate level and the MS at the graduate level. The BS degree is certified by the American Chemical Society. Additionally, through our participation in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Biological Sciences, the department offers the PhD with a Chemistry concentration. The department of Biology offers undergraduate majors in Biology and Biochemistry and graduate opportunities at both the MS and PhD levels.
