East Tennessee State university was founded in 1911. It is an accredited American university located in Johnson City, Tennessee. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in various study areas. The College of Arts and Sciences includes seventeen academic departments. The Department of Biological Sciences offers undergraduate degree B.S in biology with biochemisty concentration. The Department of Chemistry offer four undergraduate Bachelor Degree concentrations and the Master of Science Degree in Chemistry.
