Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne was founded in 1969. It is a public university and is one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology. The university offers Bachelors to Masters programs in Engineering, Basic Sciences, Information Technology and Communication, Life Sciences, as well as in the field of Construction, Architecture and the Environment. They are accompanied by exchange programmes in the world’s best institutions and industrial internships to better understand the realities of the corporate world. EPFL is one of Europe’s most innovative and productive scientific institutions. Ranked top 3 in Europe and top 20 worldwide in many scientific rankings, EPFL has attracted the best researchers in their fields. The section of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and its professors have the mission to train future scientists and engineers to the careers of research, analysis and technical development in the fields of molecular sciences, chemical engineering and biotechnology. It is currently the largest school of chemistry in Switzerland by the yearly number of its graduates. It proposes a very broad training in molecular sciences, leading to a BS degree, and then two directions of specialization leading either to a MS in molecular and biologic chemistry, or to a MS in chemical and biochemical engineering.
