Lehman College

Lehman College was founded in 1931. It is a senior college of The City University of New York. The college offers undergraudate and graduate programs. For four decades,Lehman College has been providing students with a first-rate liberal arts education, as well as preparation for careers in teaching, business, social work, the health sciences and other areas. The college has highly qualified faculty. The Department of Chemistry focuses on providing an excellent classroom experience to students and introduce them to a world class research experience. Students interact with the faculty and staff in small friendly classroom environments.Research interests are varied ranging from computer aided drug design, to nanomaterials and biomaterials. The department offers both a BA and an American Chemical Society certified BS in Chemistry. The Department is equipped with a wide range of research grade instruments that students use to learn usefulskills and experience that are desirable for careers in science.
