Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg was established in 1502. It is a public research oriented university in the cities of Halle and Wittenberg within Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The university was created in 1817 through the merger of the University of Wittenberg (founded 1502) and the University of Halle (founded 1691). The Natural Sciences offers exciting course programs and optimal learning and studying conditions. The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences I, II and III offers BSc and MSc courses in chemistry, biochemistry, and geochemistry. Faculty of Natural Sciences II offers Diploma courses in food chemistry.
