Massey University was established in 1927. It is located in Palmerston North, Albany in Auckland and Wellington. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs. The Institute of Fundamental Sciences is based at Massey University’s Palmerston North, Manawatu campus. The multi and interdisciplinary research and teaching span the fundamental areas of chemistry, physics, nanoscience, mathematics, statistics, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, plant science, evolutionary biology and bioinformatics. The institute offers BSc in chemistry, biochemistry and nanoscience. Massey University BSc (Chemistry) major provides a full foundation in all aspects of chemistry, but it also gives an emphasis to two particular 'flavours' - chemical biology and materials/nanoscience.
