Merrimack College was founded in 1947 . It is a selective and independent college. The college offers undergraduate degrees in the liberal arts, business, science and engineering, and education programs; it also offers master’s programs in education and a range of certificate, licensure and degree completion programs. A Merrimack chemistry or biochemistry degree provides a strong foundation for success in a range of careers and in graduate school. Many of the majors go on to graduate or professional school in chemistry, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, dentistry, and other fields.  Others enter directly into the workforce, where their Merrimack education has positioned them to compete strongly in today’s job market.
