Mie University offers Research in Analytical Chemistry,Environmental Chemistry.

Mie University

Mie University is in the magnificent natural environment: The green waves glistening in the Ise Bay, the green groves living in Suzuka Mountains and Nunobiki Mountains and the blue-green sky with trailing white clouds. These three greens, sansui in Japanese, direct the future of Mie University as the environmentally-advanced university. Here stands out Mie University’s cardinal goal, “From Mie to the World: Being Rooted in the Region, Provide World- Class Education and Research through Harmonious Coexistence of Nature and People.” We must revitalize in Mie University the creative imagination and power of action of the people of Ise (Isebito) who produced the pilgrimage to Ise Grand Shrine (okage-mairi) and made possible a tremendous travel boom over two hundred years ago. I believe that Mie University can make the history again with our efforts and creativities in our education and research.
