Northeastern University

Northeastern University was founded in 1898. It is a private nonprofit research university located in Boston, Massachusetts. The university offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs leading to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools, and select advanced degrees at graduate campuses in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Seattle. The College of Science offer a broad range of programs in physical sciences, life sciences and mathematics which can provide you with a deep understanding of emerging research and technology, encompassing such powerful disciplines as nanoscience, chemical biology, cognition and neuroscience, environmental and marine science, biochemistry, and the new, revolutionary field of network science. The Biochemistry program is sponsored jointly by the Department of Biology and the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, the Biochemistry Program includes nearly the entire spectrum of science – from physics and chemistry to biology and medicine. Research and teaching in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology connects physical sciences with life and applied sciences and provides theoretical and practical tools needed to address complex scientific issues. The College of Engineering at Northeastern University offers a distinctive approach to education and research. This makes the university one of the top engineering colleges in the world. The Department of Chemical Engineering began in 1909. The department offers undergraduate and graduate programs in chemical engineering (B.S / M.S undergraduate & M.S / PhD graduate). The current department reflects the changing face of chemical engineering today, as well as the changing landscape at Northeastern, which as a university has made a commitment to excellence in research. There are currently eighteen research-active faculty in the department, a number that continues to increase as chemical engineers increasingly work at the intersection of many disciplines.
