The Chemistry Department at Oakland University offers a full curriculum in undergraduate and graduate education in the chemical sciences. At the undergraduate level we offer an American Chemical Society certified undergraduate B.S. Chemistry major, a B.A. Chemistry major, a Biochemistry major (jointly with Biology), an Engineering Chemistry major (jointly with Engineering), and an Environmental Science major. At the graduate level, the chemistry department offers a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences -Health and Environmental Chemistry as well as a Master of Science degree in chemistry. The M.S degree in chemistry may be completed with a research-based thesis or may be completed with a course work only option. The nineteen full-time faculty in chemistry are committed to providing the highest quality teaching and research.
