Royal Military Academy

The Academy was founded in 1834. It is a military institution of university education responsible for the basic academic, military and physical training of future officers, and for the continuing advanced training of officers during their active career in the Defence department. The officers graduated from the Academy are leaders capable of performing efficiently in diverse, complex and exceptional circumstances, at the service of the national and the international community. The training at the Academy is tailored to the needs of the Belgian Defence (army, air force, navy, medical service).
