Royal University of Phnom Penh was established in the year 1960. It is Cambodia’s oldest and one of the largest public universities located in the capital Phnom Penh. The university offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Since its inception the university has grown. The University will continue to be the leading higher education in Cambodia, focused on excellence in teaching and learning, committed to research for the development of the country and making a contribution to Cambodian society. The Department of Chemistry offers three degrees, Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and biochemistry and Master of Analytical Chemistry. The Masters course in Chemistry provides advanced knowledge and skills in chemistry and research in order to strengthen the teaching of chemistry and research in higher education in Cambodia. The program balances theory with application and gives students the chance to begin independent research using the laboratories in the Chemistry department.
