Shizuoka UniversitY,the Faculty of Science has enhanced and developed its capabilities both for education and research.Faculty of Science, Shizuoka University aims to educate students to be ambitious, knowledgeable and keeping interest to the related international issues through general education and professional education. The professional science program commences from the first academic year together with the general education program. Educational programs becomes to be flexed, thus students are allowed to select their programs by their individuality. The Chermistry department have graduate educational programs andour research opportunities at both the doctoral and post-doctoral levels. The department presently has 15 faculty members, all of whom participate in the educational program and direct active research programs. The Department's program of teaching and research spans the breadth of chemistry. General areas covered include biological chemistry, analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.
