The Chinese University of Hong Kong was founded in 1963. It is a comprehensive research-led university in Hong Kong delivering high-quality education on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and serving the community with its cutting-edge research capability.The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a forward-looking comprehensive research university with a global vision and a mission to combine tradition with modernity, and to bring together China and the West. CUHK undertakes a wide range of research programmes in many subject areas, and strives to provide scope for all academic staff to undertake consultancy and collaborative projects with industry.The Chemistry Department is one of the largest and best equipped departments in the University. Currently, 17 faculty members are actively engaged in teaching and research in virtually all branches of frontier chemistry. The Department is committed to continually upgrade the standard of its undergraduate teaching and graduate research. It endeavours to further enhance its international status as a centre of chemical research.
