University of Bonn

University of Bonn was founded in 1818. It is a public research university located in Bonn, Germany. The University is considered to be one of Germany's and indeed Europe's most important institutes of higher education. The university offers degree programs in various study areas. In order to carry out its responsibilities in teaching and research efficiently, the University is organized into seven Faculties that are in turn made up of a large number of institutes, departments and clinics. The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences consists of 3 institutes. The Department of Chemistry is currently training of about 500 students majoring in chemistry and about 50 students in the art of Food Chemistry, 180 doctoral students working on her dissertation. In addition, the department of Chemistry stands wholly or partly responsible for the basic education with a minor in chemistry for students of the courses in medicine, dentistry, molecular biomedicine, biology, pharmacy and geosciences.
