The University of Liege was founded in 1817. It is the only public Community-sponsored university in the French-speaking part of Belgium which offers a complete range of university courses at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. As in all of the universities in Europe and throughout the world, the teaching at ULg is kept alive through research.
