The University of Milan was founded in 1924. It is a public, multidisciplinary teaching and research institution located in Milan, Italy. The University's Research is ranked among the best inItaly and Europe. The university is one of the most important and largest universities in Europe offering Bachelor’s, Master's and Doctoral programs. The Area of Science and Technology encompasses research and educational activities in the areas of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, informatics, earth sciences and related interdisciplinary topics. It was established at the time of the foundation of the University of Milan in 1925. The teaching and research opportunities are closely linked to high-quality scientific production. Faculty of Science and Technology offers Bachelor and Master programs in chemistry, industrial chemistry. The Chemistry Department was formed in 2012 as a result of the merging of the former four departments of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Inorganic Metallorganic and Analytical Chemistry, Organic and Industrial Chemistry, Structural Chemistry. Research within the Department covers a wide array of activities.
