University of Southern Denmark was founded in 1998. It is a research and educational institution. The campuses located in Funen, Southern Jutland and Zealand. The university offers Bachelor's and Master's programs in various study areas. At the University of Southern Denmark departments and centres cover a wide range of research fields and educational opportunities. Learning is hands-on at the Faculty of Science, where modern laboratories and an emphasis on fieldwork give you the opportunity to put theory into practice. The Faculty’s wide-ranging expertise, which includes research areas such as biotechnology and nanotechnology, offers you the chance to explore your area of interest alongside leading international specialists. The department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy offers MSc courses in chemistry and medical chemistry. The department practices fundamental research in a wide variety of subjects from physics, chemistry and pharmacy to related sciences, e.g. biophysics and nanobioscience. Department of Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Environmental Technology is one of four institutes at Faculty of Engineering. The study programmes and research of the institute lies in the intersection between scientific and engineering disciplines with focus on global challenges and local opportunities and solutions.
