Discover What You Really Want with Waste Management Expo 2020
We have been inspired by the “Clean India” mission, an initiative taken by the Indian government. The purpose of the mission is to incorporate effective waste management systems across the nation. Waste Management Expo (WME) will contribute to this mission by bringing together technology providers, experts, manufacturers, end-users, government bodies, waste recyclers, local authorities, stakeholders, retailers and dealers at one place.
WME intends to provide people with the necessary knowledge and tools required for processing domestic waste and industry waste. WME plans to create a decentralized system for segregating, recycling and transforming waste.
WASTE MANAGEMENT EXPO 2020: NOTIFICATION OF POSTPONEMENT
Dated: 5th March 2020
The Waste Management Expo 2020 to be held in BIEC, Bangalore, India on March 12-13, 2020, has been postponed, in view of the global impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The concerns of the World Health Organisation advisories and an increasing number of travel restrictions on employees & citizens has left the WME Management with no choice but to opt for such a decision.
The Corona Virus situation which spread from a Chinese phenomenon one month ago, to a South-East Asian & Asian problem 10 days ago, has now created a global concern in the last few days. Furthermore, with the regular international movement, the scenario is changing on a daily basis and the coming few days could potentially bring up new issues and concerns. In the last week itself, not giving into the media reports, but seeing many corporate and individual cancellations, has given a strong indication regarding the industry view. With the increasing number of Government warnings against crowd gatherings and travel to Asia region, international and national industry participants are too voicing their opinion against attending industry events. Within the country as well, the Government of India has issued public warnings against large gatherings, giving priority to citizens’ safety. Keeping in mind the global impact and health & well-being of our industry community, we have taken this call to postpone Waste Management Expo 2020. The new dates and details would be announced at the earliest possible time, taking in view the holistic environment. For the future, we remain confident of your support and understanding, considering the current difficult situation. The WME 2020 group is committed to delivering a much better and bigger event in the near future. Your continued association will help us go a long way for our up-coming expos. Do connect with us for any queries. And look forward to more such fruitful engagements, Yours Truly,
